Job Summary
Assist in the design, development and testing of electrical/electronic hardware and/or firmware for downhole tools and/or surface systems; diagnose and troubleshoot instruments and electrical/electronic system problems; service, troubleshoot, repair and/or replace maintenance systems; may develop, test and debug firmware for microprocessor/microcontroller/DSP; comply with reliability, safety, and Halliburton HSE requirements; role supports cost containment, efficiency, profitability or operations.
Required Qualifications
- Skills typically acquired through the completion of an undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering or similar discipline.
- Possibility of higher level roles given experience and business needs, including Associate Technical Professional Electrical/Electronics or Technical Professional Electrical/Electronics.
Desired Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering or Electronics
- Experience with electrical/electronic hardware and firmware development
- Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot electrical/electronic systems
- Familiarity with hardware-in-the-loop testing and system integration
- Knowledge of safety and reliability practices (HSE)
