Job Summary
Associate Technical Director – Structures within Arcadis’ Global Excellence Centre, supporting the UK Highways Mobility business from the GEC with potential country-specific placement. Role involves managing and supporting pursuit activities, preparing bid proposals, coordinating resource acquisition, mentoring the team, and delivering single and multi-disciplinary Design & Build projects. Requires a Chartership with ICE or IStructE, 12+ years of international experience across Rail, Highway, Civil & Structural, Metro and Infrastructure projects, and deep familiarity with UK projects. Responsibilities include evaluating pursuit opportunities, streamlining decision-making for pursuits, ensuring quality and timely deliverables, developing team competency, liaising with project managers and senior leadership, and upholding health, safety, and quality management standards. Emphasizes strategic thinking, cross-functional collaboration, and delivering value in a global, flexible environment.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
- Chartership with ICE or IStructE
- Minimum 12 years of experience on international multi-disciplinary Rail, Highway, Civil & Structural, Metro and Infrastructure projects
- Experience in UK projects and familiarity with UK construction industry
- Strong organizational, coordination and strategic decision-making skills
- Ability to collaborate with diverse disciplines and support resource acquisition initiatives
- Proficient in written communication
