Job Summary
Senior Associate Director – Asset Management (Water AMP8) at Arcadis, UK-wide with flexible working arrangements and travel to client sites. The role focuses on advising clients, shaping asset management strategy, and delivering outcomes in water and wastewater assets. Responsibilities include client advisory and relationship leadership, development and implementation of asset management approaches, evaluating asset inventories, data quality, risk and life-cycle planning, applying ISO 55001/RCM, leading projects and mentoring junior staff, and driving innovation through digital tools and data analytics. Requires significant UK Water sector experience, a degree in a relevant field, Chartered Engineer status or progress toward chartership, willingness to travel, and ability to contribute to business development and capability growth. Flexible working arrangements, part-time and job-share options considered.
Required Qualifications
- Significant experience in the UK Water sector in an asset management, operational, or technical advisory role
- Degree in engineering, science, mathematics, or related discipline (or equivalent professional experience)
- Willingness to travel to client sites and work within client-based teams as required
- Chartered Engineer status or working toward chartership, or membership of a relevant professional institution
- Experience with asset management principles and frameworks (e.g., ISO 55001, Reliability-Centred Maintenance) and application to water/wastewater systems
- Proven ability to lead projects/teams and build credible client relationships
- Experience contributing to framework delivery, business development, or capability growth
- Strong communication and collaboration skills; ability to influence decision-makers
