Job Summary
Represent the company interest of universal and consistent fit and proper construction by leading fit sessions and maintaining fit standards. Network with design and production to communicate the company point of view to vendors, conveying development and fit information from initial concept through TOP samples via written reports, phone conversations, and sketches. Create and maintain tracking reports of sample status while keeping detailed records and samples organized. Act as a liaison between departments to prioritize tasks based on business objectives, ensuring timely communication through pattern corrections and sketches. This role supports the Aerie Intimates team on all aspects of the product lifecycle from concept to final development with direction from the category's leader.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Fashion or Art (or equivalent experience and education)
- 1-2 years of technical design experience in Intimates
- Keen eye for color, trend, detail and construction
- Able to multi task and prioritize based on business objectives
- Ability to act as liaison between many departments; excellent communication and analytic skills
- Must be detail oriented
- Computer literate
- Able to handle multiple tasks at once
- Comfortable working in a hybrid environment - working in office 2-3 days a week (or more based on the needs of the business/big milestone week) with occasional remote work from home
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with pad/underwire development is preferred
