Job Summary
Develop and implement curriculum plans with written evidence of preparation, presenting subject matter aligned with Texas Education Agency guidelines. Prepare lessons accommodating individual student differences while employing diverse instructional techniques and media. Assist in selecting instructional materials, supervise teacher assistants, and guide students in improving study habits. Assess student progress regularly, manage classroom discipline, and maintain open communication with parents and staff. Compile and file required reports, participate in faculty meetings, and adhere to all district policies and professional ethics.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- 30 semester hours of college coursework from a regionally accredited college
- Some experience working with children
- Ability to work well with children
- Knowledge of general office equipment
- Knowledge of subjects assigned
- General knowledge of curriculum and instruction
- Regular attendance
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree from accredited college or university
- Experience managing a classroom of students
