Job Summary
The Associate Teacher supports the Teacher, Master Teacher, or Center Director in planning and implementing the daily program, preparing the learning environment and materials, and providing primary caregiving. Responsibilities include maintaining a clean, safe environment; communicating with parents through conferences and chats; supervising Teacher Aides, Substitute Teachers, and Volunteers; stepping in during absences; ensuring health, safety, and well-being of all children; preparing written reports; attending meetings; pursuing professional growth; and upholding confidentiality and the organization’s mission. Required qualifications include an Unexpired Associate Teacher Permit, CPR/First Aid Certification, 16 hours of health and safety training, immunization records, mandated abuse reporting, health screening and TB test, background fingerprint clearance, being 18+, and lifting up to 30 lbs. Compensation is listed as $33.62 per hour.
Required Qualifications
- Unexpired Associate Teacher Permit from the Department of Education
- CPR/First Aid Training Certification required
- 16 hours of health and safety training which includes 1 hour of nutrition training
- Immunization records in line with Senate Bill 792
- Mandated abuse reporter status
- Must pass health screening and TB test
- Must pass background fingerprint clearance
- Must be 18 years or older
- Ability to lift up to 30lbs
