Associate System Assurance Engineer (RAMS)

Job Summary
Analyse and evaluate design compliance with safety requirements and define technical and functional safety requirements for train control systems. Conduct safety analyses including PHA, SHA, IHA, OSHA, FTA, and FMECA to verify hardware and software safety. Carry out safety reviews of Change Requests and assure requirements are met through participation in hardware, software, and field testing. Assist in developing and completing the Specific Application Safety Case for products. Requires a degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science with one year of experience in real-time safety-critical systems and knowledge of RAMS railway standards such as EN50126. Full-time role in Hong Kong.
Required Qualifications
- Degree in Electrical Engineering; Computer Science or equivalent
- 1+ years experience in real-time safety critical systems and train control systems (i.e. CBTC system)
- Knowledge of system requirements definition/design, safety and risk analysis
- Knowledge of reliability and safety analysis techniques
- Computer skills, MS Office; DOORS, FTA tools
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with or exposure to safety/mission-critical systems design, and exposure to hazard, fault-tree and failure modes and effects analysis, statistical modeling and analysis of complex software/ hardware/human interface systems
- Knowledge with RAMS railway standards, such as EN50126, EN50128, EN50129, EN50716 Yellow Book
