Job Summary
The Associate Substation CAD Operator will support Substation projects by performing CAD work on red-lined engineering markups for substations and protection & control engineering projects. Responsibilities include editing drawings, verifying project document completeness, assisting in the development of CAD skills among technicians, and attending project-specific meetings. This role requires effective communication, the ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines, and adherence to basic QA/QC procedures. The candidate must possess an Associate Degree from an accredited Technical School and has no prior experience required.
Required Qualifications
- Basic oral and written communication skills
- Ability to learn multiple software platforms including AutoCAD and AutoCAD Electrical
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects
- Knowledge of plot profiles and user profiles in CAD package
- Effective communication with project team
