Job Summary
Perform stress analysis on Boeing 787 Aircraft Systems or Interiors products using classical hand analysis, Finite Element tools, and Dynamic Simulation methods. Review supplier documents for technical oversight, develop and document structural requirements, and coordinate with engineering groups to establish load cases and interface architecture. Guide product design, verify structural integrity throughout the lifecycle, and develop test plans to validate systems and components. Define certification documentation for CFR Part 25 Type Cert projects and support in-service product investigations. Collaborate with domestic and international partners, work under general direction, and actively support the growth of the new engineering organization. This 1st shift role is located in North Charleston, SC, for a Level 2 Associate.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (with a focus on Mechanical, Civil, Aerospace Aeronautical or Material Sciences)
- At least 2 years of experience working in relevant fields of the engineering industry
- At least 1 year of experience performing structural analysis
- Experience performing structural analysis using classical hand calculation methods
- Conflict of Interest (COI) assessment process
- Drug Free Workplace testing for marijuana, cocaine, opioids, amphetamines, PCP, and alcohol
- U.S. Person status (U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee)
