Job Summary
The Associate Store Manager (ASM) at United Dairy Farmers is tasked with supporting the Store Manager by overseeing store operations in their absence. Responsibilities include managing and training associates, ensuring an excellent Guest experience, maintaining store conditions, handling sales transactions, stocking merchandise, ensuring security against theft, and maintaining compliance with laws regarding alcohol and tobacco sales. Key qualifications include strong communication skills, the ability to lead and train, and proficiency in handling store operations efficiently.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to speak, hear and understand spoken English effectively with customers
- Ability to see well enough to operate store equipment, including POS terminal and gas console
- Ability to prepare DipSide items using supplies located in the dip cabinets
- Ability to handle coins, currency, checks, credit transactions, coupons and food stamps
- Ability to recognize numbers, count and complete required records
- Ability to clean counters and other surfaces
- Ability to tolerate exposure to extreme temperatures for short durations
- Ability to raise at least 10 pounds
- Ability to coach, teach and train associates
- Ability to make quick decisions in a rapid-paced environment
- Demonstrated leadership and management skills
