Job Summary
In partnership with the General Manager, supervise store operations to meet sales, payroll, and asset controls; recruit and select qualified candidates; train and motivate associates through ongoing programs in sales, customer service and product knowledge; develop associates to assume increased levels of responsibility; assess performance and deliver feedback with appraisals and development plans; ensure an exceptional customer experience and world-class service; maintain floor presence, staffing coverage, store standards, safety, and procedures; manage inventory levels and cash control to minimize losses; ensure compliance with company policies; foster a fair and respectful workplace aligned with our People First Philosophy.
Required Qualifications
- 2-3 years management experience
- Proven ability to manage staff to meet and exceed sales goals
- Proven ability to identify top talent and train/develop/retain great people
- Effective communication, organization and leadership skills
- Proven ability to motivate and influence others through personal actions and examples
- Proven ability to achieve results both independently and through others by fostering a spirit of teamwork and cooperation
- Physical ability to be mobile on the sales floor for extended periods
- Ability to operate POS system
- Ability to lift and mobilize medium to large items, up to 75 pounds, while utilizing appropriate equipment and safety techniques
