Associate Sterile Processing Technician duties include preparing, cleaning, processing, and storing supplied and surgical instruments for patient care; maintain inventory and ensure instruments are ready for use; follow SOPs and infection-prevention guidelines; operate instrument-tracking and IT systems; communicate effectively with team and leadership; on-the-job training provided; department offers growth with five levels of responsibility and pay; provides attention to detail and customer service skills within a hospital setting.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Prior experience in central processing or healthcare environment is preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology preferred
- CRCST certification strongly preferred within 24 months of hire
