Associate Specialist, Patient Access (Morning Shift)

Assign accurate MRNs, complete medical necessity and compliance checks, and collect insurance information for all patient admissions. Operate the telephone switchboard to relay calls while adhering to policies and providing compassionate customer service. Process physician orders, pre-register patient accounts, and obtain necessary signatures for consent forms. Review eligibility responses, enter benefit data to support billing, and screen medical necessity using ABN software. Conduct audits of accounts to ensure accuracy and provide statistical data to leadership.
