Associate Specialist, Global Payments

Associate Specialist, Global Payments role within Merck & Co.'s Global Business Solutions team. Responsible for executing global payment processes (standard, urgent, and off-cycle), performing payment pre-checks, monitoring payment runs, escalating exceptions, supporting out-of-cycle and urgent payment requests, maintaining documentation and audit trails, identifying delays and root causes, and collaborating with Accounts Payable, Treasury, IT, and other stakeholders to resolve issues. Supports process improvement, automation, and standardization initiatives, and ensures compliance with global policies, controls, and audit requirements. Requires a Bachelor's degree in Finance/Business (or near completion), 1+ year of relevant experience, strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Excel; SAP and Ariba experience is required; English is required with Asian language skills (Japanese, Mandarin, Korean) considered a plus. Hybrid work arrangement in Malaysia.
