Job Summary
Supervise and monitor students in various settings while accompanying them through the building. Assist certified personnel in implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), Behavior Intervention Plans, and preparing instructional materials. Facilitate student integration into general education classrooms by providing social, behavioral, and academic supports under direct supervision. Collect and record progress monitoring data, maintain accurate records, and use specialized equipment to address unique student needs. Perform daily safety precautions and collaborate with staff, parents, and stakeholders on building-level committees.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma
- High school diploma/GED
- Criminal Fingerprint/Background Check
- Bloodborne Pathogens Training
- Seclusion and Restraint (i.e. Chapter 103) training
- Mandatory Reporter Training - Child Abuse
- Prescribed District Training Modules
- adhering to safety practices
- operating equipment used in specialized health care equipment
- operating assistive technology devices and equipment
- operating standard office equipment including using pertinent software applications
- preparing and maintaining accurate records
- basic math, including calculations using fractions, percentages, and/or ratios
