Job Summary
Conduct quality-control tests and analyses to ensure software meets specified standards and end-user requirements. Execute tests according to established plans and scripts, log problems, and retest software corrections. Create test data files with valid and invalid records, draft and revise test plans and scripts, and create automation scripts. Report bugs and assist in routine QA activities while documenting defects and test results.
Required Qualifications
- Has a computer science background
- programming experience through coursework or internship
- Attention to Detail: Ability to notice and document defects
- Basic Test Case Execution: Understanding of how to execute and document test cases
- Bug Reporting Tools: Familiarity with tools like JIRA or Bugzilla
- Clear written and verbal skills to report bugs and test results
- Introductory knowledge of the software under test
- Ability to complete assigned tasks within deadlines
- Skills to document test results and bugs correctly
- Work effectively within a team setup
