Job Summary
Design, implement, test, extend, and maintain functionality for web applications and systems using Python, Django, React, Next.js, and Tailwind CSS. Ensure uptime and resilience for 24x7 services handling millions of daily requests by implementing automated unit tests and participating in peer code reviews. Contribute to remediation efforts for incidents, participate in sprint planning, and support requirements gathering and analysis. Provide input into technical specifications and demonstrate interest in system and business knowledge to improve understanding of Cboe's markets and technology.
Required Qualifications
- BS in Computer Science or demonstrable equivalent knowledge
- 0-2 years of experience developing websites or web applications
- internship, academic, or personal project experience
- Exposure to MVC web frameworks (Django preferred)
- Familiarity with JavaScript
- Familiarity with Python, or experience in another language with a strong desire to learn Python
- Familiarity with modern web standards, including HTML5 and CSS3
- Familiarity with Linux or UNIX-like systems
- Experience with Apache, PostgreSQL, or ReactJS
- Experience with Python unit testing and full-stack web testing
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship now or in the future
Desired Qualifications
- Django preferred
- Experience with Apache, PostgreSQL, or ReactJS is a plus
- Experience with Python unit testing and full-stack web testing is a plus
