Job Summary
Associate Software Engineer role within the SAAM group focusing on transforming advanced concepts and algorithms into real-time software implementations for prototypes and operational systems. Collaborate with scientists and engineers to design and implement algorithmic solutions, enhance software architecture for real-time hardware, and develop engineer-facing tools and processes. Responsibilities include implementing and testing real-time applications with open architecture software principles, integrating mature hardware systems, supporting system testing across M&S and Live-Virtual-Constructive infrastructure, and engaging with customers throughout the program lifecycle. Required skills include strong object-oriented C++ programming, experience with cross-platform development (Windows, Linux, iOS), proficiency in MATLAB and/or Python, familiarity with CI/CD practices, and the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance (U.S. citizenship). Desired experience includes radar/EO/IR systems, open architecture systems (OMS/UCI, A-GRA), real-time algorithm optimization, and software quality tools.
Required Qualifications
- BS with 2+ years experience or MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Electrical Engineering, or related field
- Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance
- U.S. citizenship
