Job Summary
Associate Software Engineer to design and maintain software for laboratory robots (liquid handling and instrument-tending), collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering on startup, testing, and diagnostic software for production automation equipment, develop user interfaces for web applications, create foundational tools to streamline programming, troubleshoot field service issues with Customer Care, and operate in an ISO 13485 Quality environment with high development standards.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience in developing applications or embedded control software
- Solid background in object-oriented design methodologies
- Experience with Java, C/C++, Python, and Rust
- Understanding of electrical interfacing, sensors, and motors
- Exposure to machine vision, robotics, and mobile robots is advantageous
- Hands-on experience with Java and/or another object-oriented language
- Competency with IDEs and source control tools
- Knowledge of Java-based frameworks, particularly Spring
- Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes
- Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases
- Effective communication and collaboration skills
- Experience in fast-paced, team-based design environments
- Understanding CSS, HTML5; familiarity with Angular and Node
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related fields preferred
