Job Summary
Design and develop proprietary solutions for the Core Platform Operations team, focusing on building and maintaining services and APIs to support equity investments platforms. Apply scalable and distributed computing principles to enhance on-prem systems and cloud-native AWS microservices while ensuring software integrity for a highly regulated industry. Create unit, integration, and functional tests to support high-quality delivery, participate in code reviews, and share knowledge to drive continuous improvement. This role requires a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, 0-3 years of experience, and strong aptitude for data structures and algorithms, with a preference for AWS and SQL. The position operates under a hybrid model with three days in the office.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related area of study
- Strong aptitude for highly efficient data structures and algorithms
- Hands-on object-oriented design and development experience
- Strong problem-solving mindset with a willingness to learn and grow, coupled with high integrity and a collaborative approach
- Interest in AI and related technologies, with a willingness to learn how to apply them in a business or technical context
- Effective communication skills with business users and other developers
- 0-3 years of experience
- Working in the office 3 days a week and choosing to work remotely or in the office the remaining days of the week
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of relational databases and SQL
- Cloud native development experience is a plus: AWS is preferred
- Knowledge of NoSQL database engines such as DynamoDB, Redis, Cassandra, or MongoDB
- Exposure to frontend technologies, such as, ReactJS or AngularJS
