Associate Service/Repair Technician

Job Summary
Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair electronic medical devices, consoles, and powered surgical equipment by performing component-level repair, replacement, soldering, wiring, and bench testing. Inspect returned devices for electrical, mechanical, and functional failures, then execute functional verification and quality testing following repair activities. Support returned material authorization (RMA) processing, including receiving, diagnosis, documentation, and repair tracking, while maintaining accurate records and inventory transactions within ERP systems. Assist with depot-level refurbishment and rework activities, perform firmware loading and configuration, and ensure compliance with FDA, ISO, and internal quality standards.
Required Qualifications
- Associate or bachelor's degree in electrical engineering
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a technical role with a robotics background
- GMP and ISO knowledge
- Personal computer proficiency with MS Office
- Must have strong technical aptitude
- Attention to detail
- Ability to function in a fast-paced operations and repair environment supporting field inventory, loaner systems, and depot repair activities
- Must be able to make solid decisions that effectively support the business and company policies
- Must be able to sit
- Must be able to climb or balance
- Must be able to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
- Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds
- Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Must possess specific vision abilities, including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and capacity to adjust focus
- Must complete introductory and annual training and maintain knowledge of compliance as it applies to your role
Desired Qualifications
- Associate or bachelor's degree in electrical engineering preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a technical role with a robotics background preferred
- Experience with troubleshooting, loading and testing computers
- Services experience (e.g., Clinical Services/Biomed, Radiology)
- Understand healthcare capital equipment
- Knowledge of quality and/or reliability engineering
