Job Summary
Lead late-stage project origination for the East Origination team across PJM, MISO, and ERCOT markets by processing RFPs, developing response schedules, and preparing proposals for utilities, C&Is, and retailers. Manage bilateral outreach, conduct offer analysis, and maintain market intelligence through deep dives into offtake opportunities and broker discussions. Cultivate client relationships by leveraging existing networks, attending conferences, and proposing new connection strategies. Support market readiness by completing offtake analyses for late-stage projects and leading ready-to-market calls. Collaborate with development, finance, structuring, and legal teams to submit best-in-class proposals on time. Report to the Senior Director of Origination and work closely with the East Origination lead. Located in Boulder, CO, with a 3/2 hybrid schedule.
Required Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree, preferably related to Renewable Energy and Sustainability, with an outstanding academic record
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in an origination, structuring, or relevant business development role within utility-scale renewable energy
- Knowledge of power marketing
- existing connections you can leverage with utilities, C&Is, retailers, and brokers
- A great communicator, in emails, PPT slides, on meetings, at a conference, on a phone call, in person in the office
- Organized

- Curious and you ask questions; you quickly apply lessons learned in one area to other work areas
- Creative and enjoy solving problems by working across the organization to develop a solution

- Successfully able to leveraging the expertise of multiple colleagues in different lines of reporting
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint as well as Adobe Acrobat
- Authorized to work in the U.S. for any employer without sponsorship
- Willing and available to travel as needed, up to 10 - 20%, primarily to conferences to help support the Origination team's mission
- Our ideal candidate is located in Boulder, CO or would be willing to relocate to the Boulder area in order to commute to our Boulder office on a 3/2 hybrid schedule
