Job Summary
Associate (1–3 PQE) to join Global Financial Markets practice in Australia, based in Sydney or Perth. Responsibilities include advising on cross-border and multi-jurisdictional financing transactions, drafting, negotiation, and client management; close collaboration with partners across global offices; contributing to business development and knowledge sharing; mentoring junior lawyers. The role requires strong technical and transactional skills across banking, infrastructure/project finance, leveraged finance, restructuring, asset finance, and structured finance, with ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-performing environment and a proactive approach to client relationships.
Required Qualifications
- 2–4 years’ PQE (UK equivalent), with qualification in a Commonwealth jurisdiction
- Experience in General banking
- Infrastructure / project finance
- Leveraged finance
- Restructuring
- Asset finance
- Structured finance
- Excellent academic credentials and strong commercial acumen
