Job Summary
Associate Scrum Master role supporting agile pods with at least one year in Scrum, coaching toward higher agile maturity, removing blockers, and facilitating ceremonies (Sprint Planning, Daily Standup, Backlog Grooming, Sprint Demo, Retrospective). Responsible for scoping, processes, timelines, and metrics for up to one development pod, coordinating sprints and stakeholder communications, and ensuring product backlog alignment and deliverable quality. Role emphasizes facilitating collaboration between pods and product owners, enabling a healthy, productive team environment, and applying agile practices (Scrum, Kanban, TDD/BDD, CI/CD) in a hybrid/remote setting.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year(s) of experience in a hands-on application development Scrum Master role for one or more agile development pods
- First Level Scrum master certification (e.g. CSM, PSM) is required
- Product Owner, PMI-ACP, and other agile certifications are highly desirable
- Familiarity with software development and prioritization methodologies
- Mid-level knowledge of Scrum techniques and artifacts (such as definition of done, team working agreement, acceptance criteria)
- Good knowledge of Agile frameworks (pair programming, Kanban, etc.)
- Awareness of Agile techniques like TDD, BDD, and Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery
- Excellent communication, and servant leadership skills
- Problem-solving and conflict-resolution ability
- Outstanding organizational skills
