Job Summary
Associate, Scoring Service evaluates responses to test questions from teacher candidates, internalizes scoring standards, participates in discussions, and engages with scorers in consensus scoring; analyzes bias types (e.g., implicit, cultural, leniency, central tendency, halo) and applies strategies to minimize bias while meeting quality and productivity requirements, including passing a qualifying test before scoring; training occurs prior to scoring and scoring sessions occur during weekdays with occasional irregular frequency.
Required Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree or higher, and a current teaching certification in the language you are applying for AND are currently teaching or have taught in schools (public or private) within the last three years (including regular substitute)
- OR are or have been educators from colleges and universities who hold a degree in a content-relevant field and/or have taught or advised in a content-relevant field within the last three years.
- OR is a native or fluent speaker of the language (read, write, and speak) and holds a college degree
- Both active and recently retired practitioners can be eligible to score.
- Basic computer skills (keyboard, mouse)
- Ability to sit for extended periods of time
- Ability to maintain a confidential work environment
- Eligible to work in the United States
