Job Summary
Evaluate responses to test questions for Texas teacher candidates by internalizing scoring standards and participating in consensus scoring discussions. Monitor and apply bias-reduction strategies (e.g., cultural/lens bias) to ensure fair scoring while meeting defined quality and productivity requirements. Access training before scoring, with sessions scheduled Monday–Friday and remote scoring options to fit availability. Must hold a bachelor's degree and have at least three years of subject-teacher experience in Texas, plus current Texas classroom teaching within the past three years, and reside in Texas. Must be eligible to work in the United States and comply with test-security and ethical obligations. The role offers flexible remote scoring sessions and is based in San Antonio, TX with the ability to work remotely.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- Three years of teaching experience in the subject in the state of Texas
- Have taught the subject in a Texas classroom within the past three years
- Reside in the state of Texas
- Eligible to work in the United States
- Basic computer skills (keyboard, mouse)
- Ability to sit for extended periods of time
- Comply with SBEC 230.21(g) ethical obligations (no test item information leakage; no test prep work in scoring)
