Job Summary
Associate Scientist in Thin Film Electronics responsible for R&D of electronic materials used in semiconductor manufacturing. Duties include synthesis, sample preparation, and evaluation of electronic materials based on experimental plans; summarizing experimental results and participating in team and group discussions; meetings and discussions with customers; patent and literature research. Requires a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or equivalent knowledge, experience in chemical synthesis and handling chemical materials, ability to read/write/discuss in English, and strong teamwork motivation to learn and implement new concepts. Preferred experience includes operating synthesis equipment and handling reactive gases/pressurized vessels, plus experience with analytical and material characterization instruments (NMR, FT-IR, GPC, GC, SEM, AFM, XPS, XRR, DSC, TEM). The role emphasizes collaboration across teams and with customers to advance electronic materials for semiconductor applications.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or equivalent knowledge
- Experience in chemical synthesis
- Experience handling chemical materials
- Ability to read, write, and discuss in English
- Strong motivation to succeed through teamwork, with the ability to learn and implement new concepts
- Experience operating synthesis equipment (preferred)
- Experience handling reactive gases and pressurized vessels (preferred)
- Analytical Instruments (Chemical Characterization): NMR, FT-IR, GPC, GC, etc. (preferred)
- Material Characterization Instruments: SEM, AFM, XPS, XRR, DSC, TEM, etc (preferred)
