Job Summary
Execute routine and non-routine analytical testing on EPG batches, including titrations, acid value, hydroxyl value, and water activity. Maintain a Safety-First Lab Culture by championing continuous safety improvements, ensuring proper chemical storage, and managing PPE. Conduct shelf-life and stability studies for EPG and finished products, collecting data and flagging deviations to the R&D team. Compile quality data for internal review, support Certificate of Analysis preparation, and assist with quality management system development. Collaborate with synthesis, applications, and external labs on batch assessments and ad hoc testing. This full-time, in-office role in New York City reports to the Director of Epogee R&D.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Food Science, Biology, Chemistry, or related field
- Comfort and enthusiasm for spending the majority of the day in the lab running hands-on analytical work
- Familiarity with wet chemistry techniques (titrations, acid/base analysis)
- Familiarity with food safety and regulatory frameworks (FDA, USDA, CFIA, FSMA, HACCP, SQF, Prop 65)
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
