Job Summary
Associate Scientist in Analytical Development focused on GMP quality testing of pharmaceutical candidates, including in-process and release testing by HPLC; purity assessment by ELISA/PCR; environmental monitoring and microbial testing; analytics development including method validation, method transfer, and stability assessments; supporting quality events investigations and recordkeeping; equipment, columns, reagents, and inventory management; documentation per internal procedures and LIMS; collaboration across global teams; required degree in life sciences and 2+ years of related experience; business-level English and Japanese for collaboration and regulatory interactions; hybrid work arrangement with approximately one day per week telework in Fujisawa, Japan.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in pharmacy, biology, chemistry, life sciences, or related field
- experience in analytical work in CMC/QA environment
- experience with quality testing of pharmaceuticals or candidates
- knowledge of GMP
- English business level; TOEIC 700+ desirable
- Japanese language skills for internal discussions/audits/documents
