Job Summary
Develop and maintain detailed project schedules for capital projects using Primavera P6, performing critical path analysis and managing schedule variances. Interface with project management, engineering, and client stakeholders to provide schedule insights, corrective actions, and regular updates on deviations from the approved baseline. Support month-end closing, phase gate processes, and the production of look-ahead, actuals, and schedule quality reports. Assemble supporting documentation and build data-driven reports to monitor project performance and support decision-making. Work remotely two days a week and travel to client offices for coordination meetings.
Required Qualifications
- Proficiency using Primavera P6 scheduling software
- Familiarity with the practical application of project controls
- Three or more years of project experience
- Post-secondary graduate
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proven ability to interact and multitask with project team members, clients, and vendors of varying position levels
- Eager to learn new skills and develop knowledge to add make a valuable impact to project team operation
- Willing to engage with others to understand project team needs
- Committed to deliver high quality, accurate deliverables with attention to detail
- Working knowledge in MS Office tools
- Advanced use of MS Excel and/or MS Access in creating detailed, interactive spreadsheets, workbooks, and databases
- Willing to travel to client office for project coordination meetings
Desired Qualifications
- Related engineering internship, co-op, or work experience, which includes project controls, project planning, project scheduling, and earned value performance, preferably within the power industry
- AACE CST
- PMI Equivalent
- Working towards AACE CCP
- Working towards AACE CEP
- Working towards AACE PSP
- Working towards AACE PRMP
- Working towards AACE EVP
- Working towards PMI Equivalent
- Completed equivalent training in lieu of Professional Designation
- Successfully passed designated proficiency testing
