Job Summary
The Associate Sample Coordinator organizes and maintains the physical sample room, manages inventory and sample logistics (receiving, organizing, shipping, and lifecycle activities), processes sample orders in SAP, coordinates with sourcing and internal/global partners to ensure timely communication and delivery, tracks samples with reporting tools, collaborates with the photo studio to ensure samples are available for asset creation, and serves as a point of contact for sample-related inquiries while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines. Requires strong organization, data analysis, cross-team communication, and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel); travel within the Portland area is not required.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Minimum one (1) or more years of relevant experience in operations, product support, supply chain, or a related field preferably within the retail industry
- Equivalent combination of experience and education may substitute on a year-for-year basis
- Reliable transportation to travel within the Portland Metro area as needed
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel
- Basic understanding of footwear development and sample processes (preferred)
- Familiarity with sample room operations and capacity planning concepts (preferred)
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Self-motivated with a customer-focused mindset and ability to work independently within a team
