Associate ROC Analyst

Job Summary
ROC Analyst within Stem's Remote operations center (ROC) team, performing technical analysis of system issues and outages across a fleet of networked energy storage systems. Responsibilities include remotely identifying and prioritizing incidents, troubleshooting and resolving issues (or escalating to higher-level engineers), developing tools and processes for continuous improvement, creating data-driven rules for the data engine to support root-cause corrections, monitoring diverse systems (LAN/WAN, firewalls, IoT, operating systems, energy storage management), tracking incidents in JIRA, coordinating with field technicians, and communicating remediation status to field service, customer operations, and third-party providers. The role entails collaborating with internal/external technical teams to implement temporary and permanent solutions and contributing to knowledge-base articles. Preferred experience includes solar asset performance analysis, BESS, remote support tooling, Jira/Confluence, Linux, and 24x7 shift operations.
Required Qualifications
- BTech/ BE degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering or Electronics and Communication Engineering from an accredited college or university
- Good understanding of communication protocols including MODBUS RS485 and TCP/IP; Networking fundamentals like DHCP/Static, DNS, TCP/IP; router/switch configuration and IP address planning
- Knowledge of electrical power systems, solar power systems and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS)
- Experience with analyzing large sets of data and data analysis
- Knowledge of server operating systems and network devices
- Ability to think creatively to resolve problems in ambiguous situations
- Experience with execution of custom scripts (light coding/understanding)
- Good verbal and written English language skills
- Ability to work in flexible shift timings (24x7)
