Associate - Research & Advisory

The Research & Advisory Associate role supports technical research and transaction-oriented advisory services (including strategic planning and M&A) at Frazier & Deeter's National Tax Office. Responsibilities include in-depth research using primary authorities (Code, Treasury Regulations, IRS guidance, legislative history, case law), preparing technical memoranda and opinion letters on pass-through taxation, M&A structuring, estate planning, and transactional issues, and assisting with buy-side/sell-side engagements, alternative planning structures, and client-ready materials illustrating planning recommendations. The role emphasizes synthesizing complex tax material into clear written work, monitoring regulatory developments, and contributing to internal knowledge systems; it involves fast-paced advisory support with a client-facing component and cross-functional collaboration for thought leadership and firm standards.
