Job Summary
Associate Relationship Banker in the Southland Branch (Hayward, CA) delivers welcoming, consultative service to clients, leveraging Chase banking solutions and digital tools (Chase Mobile App, Chase.com, ATMs) to address financial needs. Responsibilities include meeting with clients in person and by phone to understand needs, educate on products and services, build lasting relationships, tailor recommendations, learn products quickly, assist with branch operations, and ensure compliance with bank policies. Requires strong sales experience, exceptional communication, client-focused service, and availability for branch hours including weekends and some evenings. Familiarity with regulatory requirements (NMLS/SAFE Act) and ability to work within risk parameters is expected. Prefer candidates with college degree or military equivalent.
Required Qualifications
- 1+ year of sales experience in Retail Banking, Financial Services, or other related industries with proven success in establishing new clients, deepening relationships, and delivering results.
- Ability to create memorable experiences for clients — elevate the client experience.
- Excellent communication skills, both in person and over the phone, with proven ability to tailor features and benefits of products and services to clients with differing needs.
- Ability to quickly and effectively resolve client issues with attention to detail — providing consistent client experience.
- Operate within established risk parameters/tolerances and meet internal/external risk and compliance obligations, including completion of required training.
- High school degree, GED, or foreign equivalent.
- Ability to work branch hours including weekends and some evenings.
- College degree or military equivalent.
