Associate Regional Director, Vancouver

Job Summary

Mentor and support teen leaders in developing vibrant, teen-led BBYO chapters throughout British Columbia while attending weekly Regional Board meetings to provide coaching and guidance. Plan, coordinate, and execute regional programs, chapter events, conventions, and leadership training experiences, managing all event logistics including budgets, registration systems, and vendor coordination. Recruit, train, and support volunteer Advisors across the province, ensuring chapters deliver consistent, high-quality programming that aligns with safety standards and organizational policies. Collaborate with the Regional Director on strategic planning, annual goals, and fundraising initiatives, while building relationships with Jewish schools, synagogues, the JCC, and other community partners to support BBYO visibility. Create newsletters, registration materials, and reports for regional activities, and manage administrative responsibilities such as attendance tracking, membership data, and organizational metrics.

Required Qualifications

  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to travel throughout British Columbia as needed
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and non-traditional hours when teens are available

Desired Qualifications

  • Passion for working with teens and supporting youth development
  • 1–3 years of experience working with teens, youth programs, community organizations, or nonprofit organizations
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience
  • Experience leading teams, volunteers, or projects
  • Strong communication, relationship-building, and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously
  • Experience with program development, event planning, community engagement, or nonprofit operations
  • Comfortable managing budgets, administrative systems, and operational responsibilities
  • Skilled in professional writing, communication, and digital tools
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a team
  • It would be great if you spoke Russian, Hebrew, French, or other languages
