Job Summary
Oversee and manage key aspects of the deal process and document negotiation for loan originations, secondary capital markets transactions, and loan servicing. Deliver high-quality legal guidance by partnering with investment professionals to evaluate risks in documentation and diligence, while negotiating, writing, and reviewing business agreements. Ensure adherence to governance, risk, and compliance programs, and supervise outside counsel to manage quality and cost. Streamline asset servicing and custodial deliveries through precise reporting. Maintain Blackstone's reputation for reasonability by communicating risk clearly and proposing creative solutions. This role supports Blackstone's Real Estate Debt Strategies, managing a global portfolio exceeding $76 billion across high yield, opportunistic credit, and liquid securities strategies.
Required Qualifications
- Juris Doctorate (JD)
- actively licensed to practice in Texas
- Minimum of 2-4 years of relevant legal experience representing institutional clients
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Adept in navigating and simplifying complex matters of law
- Loan Document and real estate due diligence review and negotiation experience
