Job Summary
Associate Quality Engineer in Abbott's SH Structural Heart division, based in Caguas, Puerto Rico. The role supports manufacturing with process/quality engineering tasks, identifies and dispositions nonconforming material and scrap, leads basic CAPA activities, assists in bounding product stops and release criteria, evaluates lot-to-lot rework, and contributes to product quality plans, risk analyses, and FMEAs. The position involves reviewing product specifications and quality systems, applying quality tools, and collaborating with QC Supervisors, Manufacturing Supervisors, and Operations to improve quality metrics. Requires a Bachelor's degree in engineering and 0-2 years of related experience; bilingual (English and Spanish) preferred. The base pay range is $45,000.00 – $89,800.00 and relocation is not offered.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering
- 0 - 2 years of related work experience
- Previous experience in medical devices or pharmaceutical industry is preferred
- Bilingual. Fluent in English and Spanish
