Job Summary
Lead and manage a functional testing team, overseeing daily work arrangements, performance evaluations, and professional development. Take overall charge of the functional testing process, including test planning, case design, execution management, risk control, and quality acceptance. Optimize testing standards, specifications, workflows, and tools to improve efficiency and coverage. Participate in project requirement and design reviews to identify risks early and provide testing suggestions. Track project progress and milestones while coordinating with development, product, and art teams to ensure on-time delivery. Manage bug closure control by supervising reproduction, verification, regression, and closing of key defects. Organize testing summaries and share best practices. Report testing status, quality indicators, and risks to senior management regularly. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive product quality improvement and process optimization.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or above, major in computer science, software engineering or related fields
- 5+ years of game functional testing experience
- 2+ year of team leadership experience
- Profound understanding of game testing process, test case design methods and quality management system
- Rich experience in bug analysis, positioning, tracking and promoting closure
- Familiar with game development cycle, milestone management and project collaboration mode
- Excellent leadership, communication, coordination and problem-solving skills
- Fluent in written and spoken English and Chinese, able to communicate and write documents efficiently
- Proficient in MS Office and common testing / project management tools
Desired Qualifications
- Experience leading functional testing for PC, console (Xbox, PlayStation) or multi-platform games
- Familiar with network testing, performance testing or common debugging tools
- Knowledge of Linux (Ubuntu) and basic test automation concepts
- Experience in establishing testing processes, building testing systems or training teams
- Experience in large-scale game projects or well-known game companies
