Job Summary

Negotiate and draft construction, development, and project documentation for clients across real estate, housing, and infrastructure sectors. Advise on procurement and contracting strategies, including JCT, NEC, and EPC forms, while managing live schemes to prevent disputes and shape commercial negotiations. Provide payment advice, analyze contracts to inform client rights, and handle challenges to extensions of time or termination notices where necessary. This full-time NQ-2 position is based in the London office, with opportunities to engage in business development and work on international projects through the firm's global network.

Required Qualifications

Previous experience of working within a construction team or housing practice
Experience of non-contentious construction law
Experience of std form construction contracts
Experience of commercial and/or housing development work

Desired Qualifications

Good working knowledge of the various std form contracts and appointments, including JCT, NEC and EPC forms, their standard amendments and market norms
Willingness to take on more bespoke, complex agreements
Willingness to undertake large scale due diligence exercises
Willingness to undertake typical development arrangements with appropriate supervision

Experience of advising on risks in live schemes
