Job Summary
Collaborate with Foremen, engineers, and subcontractors to determine project needs, assist in budget development and expense monitoring, and coordinate subcontractors and suppliers. Assist in planning and implementing construction projects while tracking progress, preparing detailed reports on milestones, and maintaining documentation including contracts and drawings. Ensure adherence to health and safety standards, obtain necessary permits, and communicate project status through regular meetings. Help resolve construction issues and escalate them to senior management as needed. Work under the supervision of Project Managers with mentorship to develop skills, participating in decision-making processes without final authority on major decisions.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 1-3 years managing construction projects independently
- Proven organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
- Proficiency in project management software tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera)
- Knowledge of construction processes, practices, and techniques
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings
- Must successfully pass criminal background checks, MVR, and drug tests (post-employment and random testing)
Desired Qualifications
- Prior internship or work experience in construction project management is a plus
- Certification in Project Management (e.g., CAPM) is desirable
