Job Summary
Collaborate with Foremen, engineers, and subcontractors to determine project needs, assist in budget development, and monitor expenses. Coordinate and manage project tasks to ensure timely completion while ensuring adherence to all health and safety standards. Assist in planning construction projects, obtaining permits, and tracking progress to prepare detailed reports on milestones. Maintain project documentation, including contracts and drawings, and attend meetings to communicate status to all participants. Help resolve issues during construction and escalate them to senior management as needed. Work under the supervision of Project Managers to develop skills while participating in decision-making processes.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 1-3 years managing construction projects independently
- Proven organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
- Proficiency in project management software tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera)
- Knowledge of construction processes, practices, and techniques
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings
Desired Qualifications
- Prior internship or work experience in construction project management is a plus
- Certification in Project Management (e.g., CAPM)
