Job Summary
Support mid/high-rise construction projects by enforcing standard processes, preparing estimates, and developing tender packages with the purchasing department. Manage project schedules, budgets, and change orders through negotiation while monitoring costs against actuals. Coordinate with consultants, trades, and site staff to plan construction methods, review drawings, and ensure quality assurance and control. Lead staff performance management, conduct regular meetings on manpower and safety, and maintain comprehensive project documentation. Solicit and evaluate sub-trades and consultants while ensuring compliance with company policies.
Required Qualifications
- Post-secondary education in Engineering, Architecture, Business, Project Management or related field, or suitable combination of education and experience
- Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in residential/commercial construction industry
- ideally with experience estimating & purchasing of Condominiums
- Understanding of the Ontario Building Code
- Valid Class G driver's license
- ability to travel as required to various job sites
- Working knowledge of building and construction material purchasing
