Associate Project Manager

Job Summary
Lead and deliver large-scale built environment and construction projects from initiation to completion, driving delivery on project management commissions to meet time, budget, and quality requirements. Independently oversee significant project phases, manage multiple workstreams and stakeholders, and foster collaboration among clients, consultants, contractors, and team members. Mentor junior members of the team, support talent development initiatives, and contribute to business initiatives including bids and business development activities. This role is based in AECOM's London Project Management Team, supporting social infrastructure estates transformation with significant heritage and engineering features. Candidates must satisfy clearance checks as required by UK Central government bodies.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to satisfy clearance checks as required by UK Central government bodies
- Substantial experience and technical knowledge in project management within the built environment or construction industry
- Experience managing projects with minimal supervision
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Ability to manage multiple or major projects, workstreams and stakeholders
- Demonstrate leadership potential and client relationship expertise
- Passionate about delivering high-quality consulting services, and comfortable in the role of consultant
- Able to manage more junior resources on projects
- Ability to be involved in team management functions, including line management and business development
- Ability to support the development of colleagues, particularly towards professional qualifications (e.g., RICS, CIOB, APM)
- Professional accreditation (e.g. RICS, CIOB, APM) achieved or commitment to achieve one
- All newly hired employees are required to attend an in-person Day 1 onboarding at an AECOM office location as a condition of employment
