Job Summary
Associate Project Engineer MMS at Hitachi Energy India Operations Center in Bengaluru, responsible for quality assurance of software across data management, data integration, network modeling, network analysis, network security, operation optimization and real-time operation control. Design and develop functional and non-functional test cases from business requirements and specifications, specify data formats and tooling for testing, collaborate with SMEs to prepare and process test data, implement reusable test automation and validation tools, execute smoke, integration, factory acceptance, performance, and regression tests, provide testing status to the engineering team, investigate and track issues, improve test data and steps, maintain testing tools and environments, and mentor others in testing methodologies while ensuring compliance with regulations. Requires MTech/ME or PhD in Electrical Engineering and hands-on experience in software QA within distributed teams, with proficiency in C, Java, Fortran, scripting languages, SQL databases, data formats, and testing frameworks.
Required Qualifications
- MTech/ME Degree in Electrical / Power systems Engineering or PhD in Electrical
- Experience participating in the quality assurance process at a large and geographically dispersed software development organization
- Experience in software development using C, Java, Fortran, Python and other scripting languages
- Experience in SQL language and MS SQL, Oracle, Postgres and other relational and non-relational databases
- Experience with data formats (Excel, CSV, XML, JSON) and data transformation and ETL tools
- Experience with JUnit, TestNG, DBUnit, FRUIT, Selenium, Cucumber or similar testing frameworks
- Familiarity with Linux, AIX, Windows, and other operating systems
- Excellent verbal and written English communications skills
