Job Summary
Associate Project Engineer role focused on assembling electric control panels to customer prints and specifications, reading blueprints and interpreting wire schematics, and using standard panel assembly tools. Requires an Associate’s degree in a technical field or 3+ years of relevant experience, strong communication, and familiarity with CAD or wire harness software, MS Office, and lean manufacturing principles. Primary onsite role in a controlled indoor environment, with physical requirements including lifting up to 50 lbs andstanding with arms elevated. Schedule: 1st Shift. The position emphasizes applying lean manufacturing concepts to solve problems and improve operations, along with professional representation of the company in communications with customers and vendors.
Required Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in a technical field or 3+ years of relevant work experience
- Read prints and a tape measure (metric and English)
- Assemble electric control panels to customer prints and specifications
- Basic understanding of manufacturing business operations and processes
- Well-developed communication skills, both written and verbal
- Exhibits professionalism when representing the company in all communications with internal and external customers and vendors
- Demonstrates computer skills and aptitude; MS Office; knowledge of CAD or wire harness software
- Read and interpret a blueprint and/or wire schematic
- Use standard panel assembly tools (screwdrivers, wrenches, wire strippers, etc.)
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing to solve problems and improve operations
- Primarily onsite, indoors, controlled temperature environment
- Legal work status in the U.S. (no sponsorship)
