Associate Programme Director - Greening of Industries (Cement)

Job Summary
Engage directly with industries across cement, concrete, building materials, and industrial waste utilisation through plant visits, stakeholder meetings, and on-ground programme implementation. Build relationships with plant heads, operations teams, sustainability leaders, and technical consultants to support proof-of-concept and pilot projects that translate research into practical applications. Represent the organisation at industry forums and coordinate patent, copyright, and trademark processes for the technology portfolio. Lead project planning, implementation, monitoring, and quality assurance across multiple initiatives while guiding cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery. Assess market readiness and commercialisation strategies in India and international markets to enable technology adoption at scale.
Required Qualifications
- Approximately 9–14 years of professional experience
- significant exposure to industrial sectors such as cement, steel, building materials, manufacturing, industrial sustainability, or energy-intensive industries
- Experience working directly with manufacturing operations, industrial facilities, or technical implementation teams
- Strong credibility with manufacturing stakeholders, including plant managers, operations leaders, and technical teams
- Understanding of industrial processes and technology adoption within manufacturing environments
- Willingness to travel extensively to industrial sites and project locations
- Ability to evaluate techno-commercial opportunities and assess market readiness for new technologies
- Strong stakeholder management skills across industry, government, research institutions, donors, and technical partners
- Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to identify opportunities for scaling research into commercially viable solutions
- Postgraduate degree in Engineering, Environmental Sciences, Sustainability, Materials Science, or a related technical discipline
Desired Qualifications
- Exposure to technology commercialisation, research-to-market initiatives, or industrial technology adoption
- Experience in green building materials, cementitious materials, LC3, fly ash utilisation, circular economy, or related domains
