Job Summary
Deliver 15 to 20 instructional contact hours weekly in the Albany Nursing Program across classroom, lab, and clinical settings. Facilitate instruction using evidence-based best practices and the Community of Inquiry Framework to ensure students meet course outcomes. Develop and integrate supplemental syllabi, lesson plans, and assessments while modeling professional standards. Maintain a skills assistance schedule to support student attendance and actively guide student performance and academic concerns. Participate in curriculum monitoring, accreditation record maintenance, and department committee meetings. Serve as a resource and mentor for nursing students while fulfilling administrative duties and attending required campus functions.
Required Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Nursing
- Valid New York State Nursing License in Good Standing
- Valid American Heart Association BLS CPR certification
- Exceptional organization and communication skills
- Possess and exhibit qualities of professionalism, integrity, self-esteem, self-motivation, and a strong desire to guide students to improve their career prospects
Desired Qualifications
- Teaching experience preferred
- Discipline-specific workplace experiences a plus
