Job Summary
Conduct accurate and timely production of USP Reference Standards and Materials using automated and hands-on packaging methods. Operate production-level machines including powder fillers, labeling equipment, and biological safety cabinets while managing routine tasks and detecting variances. Prepare test samples with careful chemical handling, document all activities in the Oracle ERP system, and perform statistical calculations to verify production targets. Assist with production materials inventory through stocking, dispensing, and physical inventory activities. Maintain a culture of safety by following USP quality protocols and wearing required PPE, including N95 respirators.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a physical science
- Four years of work experience in a related field
- Relevant academic training in microbiology or a related life science
- Exposure to aseptic techniques
- Handling of biological materials in controlled or sterile environments
- One year of work experience in a related field
- Ability to pass a pulmonary function test
- Ability to wear an N95 respirator
- Immunization for Hepatitis B or receipt of the vaccination series from USP
