Job Summary
Load, unload, and move donated goods using a hand truck onto or from pallets, racks, or shelves. Sort textiles and price donated items, including garments and hard lines, while tagging products and placing them on shelves per guidelines. Distribute donated goods for processing, shipping, or future storage, and perform basic record-keeping functions. Greet donors and customers at the donation station, issue receipts, and handle goods into appropriate containers. Maintain clean work areas by sweeping, emptying trash, and ensuring aisles are free from debris. Adhere to loss prevention, inventory control, and compliance procedures while reporting safety hazards or unethical behavior to supervisors.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 6 months to 1 year minimum experience working successfully in retail customer service oriented environment
- Ability to bend, lift, grasp and move continuously through the day
- Two-person lifting of some heavy objects may be required
- Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the position
- Must maintain a valid driver's license and automobile insurance coverage
- Must be able to travel as needed if you drive your vehicle during company business
