Job Summary
Support the development of seamless and cut-and-sew studio-to-street apparel from concept through production; own assigned styles with guidance from Senior Product Development; partner cross-functionally with Design, Tech Design, Raw Materials, Production and Color to maintain product integrity from prototype to final approval; maintain style development tracking, seasonal WIPS, and milestone follow-ups; manage PLM data including style pages, BOMs, and cost sheets; review costing details and identify opportunities to support margin goals; communicate with vendors on timelines, sample status, costing follow up and MOQ alignment; escalate risks to calendar, costing, construction or testing in a timely manner; attend fit sessions and ensure changes are captured and executed; partner with PLM team on system updates and process improvements.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
- 3-5 years of experience in apparel product development, preferably in activewear
- Understanding of Seamless and/or Swimwear is a plus
- Knowledge and understanding of garment construction, testing protocols and product lifecycle timelines
- Ability to manage multiple projects with strong attention to detail and sense of urgency
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across teams
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build trust with cross functional teams and oversees vendor partners
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel) and PLM systems
- Self-starter, ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects on an ongoing basis
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with appropriate sense of urgency
